Una gossa en un descampat explica la història de la Júlia i en Pau, una parella que perd el seu fill quan ella està embarassada de cinc mesos. La trama passa a l’hospital, al teatre on treballa ell -actriu i director assagen una obra a punt d’estrenar- i al descampat -un espai aparentment hostil que existeix dins del cap de la protagonista-. L’obra parla de la mort, però també de la vida, del valor d’afrontar els propis fantasmes i de la bellesa que es pot trobar en els descampats que a vegades ens toca travessar. Amb una mirada optimista, Una gossa en un descampat aborda un dels temes tabús a la nostra societat: la mort perinatal.
Trobar la mort quan esperes la vida. Mirar-la a la cara. Enfrontar-te a les teves pitjors pors. La Júlia haurà de fer servir tots els recursos de què disposa per encarar-se a una ombra quan el que esperava era un fill. Clàudia Cedó, autora resident de la Sala Beckett la temporada 2017/18, ens proposa aquesta obra basada en la seva experiència personal. Una obra dirigida per Sergi Belbel que s’estrena en el marc del GREC Festival 2018. Protagonitzada per Pep Ambròs, Anna Barrachina, Queralt Casasayas, Vicky Luengo, Xavier Ricart i Maria Rodríguez.

"Julia and the Empty Lot" tells the story of Julia and Pau, a couple who loses their child when Julia is five months pregnant. The action takes place in the hospital, in the theater where Pau works as a technician and in an abandoned lot on the outskirts - an apparently hostile space that exists within the mind of the protagonist. The play speaks of death, but also of life, of the courage to face one’s own ghosts and of the beauty that can be found in the deserts that we sometimes have to cross. With an optimistic outlook, "Julia and the Empty Lot" examines one of the taboo topics in our society: perinatal death.
To find death when you are expecting life. To face it head on. To confront your worst fears. Júlia will have to summon all of her available resources to meet a shadow when she was hoping for a son. Clàudia Cedó, resident playwright of Sala Beckett in the 2017-2018 season, offers us this play inspired by her personal experience.
